Oklahoma Town Evacuated From Wildfire

An Oklahoma town was evacuated Thursday after a wildfire burned three buildings to the ground.

The town of Gotebo, which is less than 300 people, in all saw several dozen buildings suffer smoke and water damage. Winds gusting up to 30 mph helped fan the flames.

Initial reports indicate the fire may have started from power lines that fell due to high winds.

Gotebo is located in southwestern Oklahoma.
