Nationwide Responds to North Carolina Tornados

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. claim representatives and agents are assisting customers in response to recent tornados in North Carolina reported throughout Guilford, Forsyth and Davie counties on May 8.

Policyholders with storm damage should call the Nationwide claims hotline at 1-800-421-3535 or contact their local agent.

So far our claims volume has been moderate, but were prepared if claims numbers should increase, said Lee Morton, regional vice president for Nationwides North Carolina operations. Were sending additional claims personnel to the area to assist customers in need of claim service.

Beginning Saturday, policyholders may also visit Nationwides mobile catastrophe unit, which will be located at The First Christian Church of Clemmons, 6131 Fryebridge Road, Clemmons, NC 27012.

Reports say at least one person was killed and three others were injured when a tornado touched down Thursday evening in Greensboro.
