Auto Injury Solutions Inc., (AIS) a provider of medical claim management tools for the auto insurance industry announced the launch of its provider transaction portal, Provider Desktop, featuring the on-line capability for a New Jersey medical provider to create, submit and track status of pre-certification requests required under New Jersey's Auto Insurance Cost Reduction Act (AICRA). Providers will find the following features of Provider Desktop for the compliance with New Jersey regulations:
- A secure web portal to ensure patient information privacy is maintained.
- The capability to upload supporting medical documentation directly from electronic patient files validated with an e-Signature unique to the provider.
- Patient information is stored for future submissions,reducing the time necessary to complete a request.
- Status of the request in real-time.
Provider Desktop will also serve as the platform for other auto insurance medical claim transactions as the market moves steadily towards eliminating paper claims processing. AIS will implement Minnesota's July 2009 requirement for electronic claims submission through Provider Desktop and is prepared to support the requirements from other states as they are introduced to the industry.
