The head of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that the President declared an emergency exists in the state of Illinois and ordered federal aid to supplement state and local response efforts in the area struck by record snow and near record snow during the period of Feb. 5-6, 2008. FEMA Administrator David Paulison said that the President's action makes federal funding available to the state and eligible local governments in Boone, Carroll, Jo Daviess, Lake, McHenry, Stephenson, and Winnebago counties. The assistance is available to state and eligible local governments on a cost-sharing basis for emergency protective measures that were undertaken to save lives and protect public health, safety and property over a continuous 48-hour period during or proximate to the incident period.

Our Reviews
"Very interesting site full of insurance stories. A full page of these with links to older articles. Plus, links to professional trade bodies. Overall a comprehensive site/blog"
"The quality of this site looks very high, and the value for readers seems apparent the second you click on to the site. A well balanced layout, presenting easy to read updates for all to read. Accessible to all, even those who don't know all that much about insurance. That's I guess how I would summarize this site. All in all a very good job!"
