RLI Transportation Offers Ambulance, EMS Coverage

RLI Transportations Commercial Auto Unit announced an expansion of its mono-line commercial auto appetite. The unit is now targeting ambulance and emergency medical service providers.

The expanded program builds upon the underwriting expertise and segment knowledge that had previously only focused on hospital fleets. The new program now allows ambulance services and emergency medical service (EMS) providers to place coverage for ambulances and ancillary vehicles under one policy.

RLI Transportation Assistant Vice President Eric Galisdorfer explained, Were responding to the demands of the insureds they want broad coverage under a single policy. Over time, we have seen the needs of this customer group move toward a single insurance policy that covers their entire fleet. The expansion of our appetite benefits the insureds by allowing seamless coverage and a one-stop-shop for their fleet insurance needs.

Galisdorfer adds, Our niche, underwriting-focused business model is designed to respond quickly to satisfy the changing needs of our insureds, so were doing just that.

The ambulance and emergency medical service providers coverage is admitted in all states except Alaska, Hawaii, La. and Mass. Minimum premiums start at $10,000.
