Sponsored by the Council on Litigation Management (CLM), the eight different sessions range from litigation basics for adjusters to intermediate and advanced topics such as trial practice and negotiation strategies.
The instructors are experienced defense lawyers, CLM members who donate their time pro bono. Each session runs two to three hours, and adjuster continuing education credits are available in 13 applicable states.
CLM Executive Director Adam Potter said 2009 training sessions are hosted by sponsoring insurance companies and are open to all claims and insurance professionals.
"This is one of the first times insurance companies have opened their doors to people from other companies," Potter said. "Thanks to them, we can accommodate 5,000 to 6,000 students this year in 250 local sessions. It's a major expansion of the training program CLM launched in 2008."
