Wells Fargo Insurance Services Inc. – part of Wells Fargo & Company - has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Grady & Associates, a single office, retail insurance broker in Las Vegas, NevGrady & Associates has served customers across in Nevada since 1999. Founded by John Grady, the agency focuses exclusively on health and benefits insurance. The company serves a broad customer base, including customers in the hospitality, construction, hospitals, auto sales and home development industry.
- Arizona's Supreme Court has rejected a legal challenge to the Grand Canyon State's budget-balancing move to take $4.7 million paid into a special workers' comp insurance fund.
The Supreme Court said no to accepting jurisdiction of a special-action lawsuit filed by the Industrial Commission (IC) that oversees workers' comp. At issue was a January budget-balancing law's snatching of money paid by insurers and self-insured employers. The IC argued that the $4.7 million is private money that does not belong to the state.
