Insurance Assistance Available Near Collapse Locale

Consumers affected by the crane collapse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side may obtain help with insurance issues from New York State Insurance Department personnel who are deployed near the site.

Insurance Department personnel will be available at the New York City Office of Emergency Management reception center that has been set up at Public School 198 at 1700 3rd Ave., between 95th and 96th Streets, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., until further notice.

Department personnel will be available to answer consumer questions and help consumers file claims for damages caused by the incident.
