CAA Welcomes 37th Member to Agency

Combined Agents of America, LLC (CAA) has welcomed EFGI Insurance & Bonds LCC as its 37th member agency. CAA is a managing general agency (MGA) committed to strengthening the independent insurance agency system through profitable growth, quality and service for its member agencies.

“As CAA continues its expansion throughout the state of Texas, EFGI Insurance & Bonds is a key addition particularly for growth in the south region of the state,” said Don Jones, CAA president and president of Crockett Insurance Service, (Crockett, TX). “This is our fourth new member in 2008. This year we are growing aggressively and even looking to expand our membership to high-caliber insurance agencies outside Texas.”

Based in San Antonio, Texas, EFGI Insurance & Bonds was formed in 2002 when EFGI purchased the southwest Texas insurance operations from Employers General Insurance Group (EGIG), and hired much of the support personnel. Now EFGI's core staff has worked together for over 25 years. In 2004, Canez-Gunter Insurance & Benefits (CGIB) merged with EFGI greatly enhancing the employee benefits side of the agency. Now a full service agency, EFGI strives to build client relationships by "doing it right and doing it well." While EFGI designs and manages programs for a wide range of clients, it also specializes in the oil and gas, construction and transportation industries. URL:http//www.efgi.biz

"CAA’s almost $400 million in Texas premium commands attention in the marketplace, which greatly enhances our ability to perform and "get it done" for our clients. In joining CAA, we join the expansive networking power of 37 capable partner agencies and benefit from some solid strategic alliances,” said Steve Jamison, principal of EFGI Insurance & Bonds. “Personally, I will get to enjoy the camaraderie of some of the insurance industry’s most capable and respected men and women. They are just flat fun to be around."
