An Ohio driver faces up to 32 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges that he ran out on a $100 restaurant bill and then ran over a bartender with his car who tried to stop him.
Authorities say that Michael Rose, 43, reportedly left the Short North restaurant on May 15 without paying his bill and then ran over the female bartender, paralyzing the woman from the waist down.
Rose was charged with four counts of aggravated vehicular assault and other charges. Along with the bartender, Rose also hit the restaurant's co-owner and a patron with his Jeep Cherokee.
Bartender Rachel Widomski's spinal cord was severed in two places after being hit by the vehicle.
