Firefighters battled flames and freezing cold temperatures in a four-alarm fire overnight in Boston's Fenway neighborhood that destroyed eight businesses.
According to authorities, nearly 100 firefighters fought the blaze in a commercial block of the city. The fire, which forced residents from an apartment complex, is thought to have done about $5 million in damages.
The fire reportedly started in a business at the corner of Peterborough and Kilmarnock around 2 a.m. In all, officials said that seven restaurants and a dry cleaners were destroyed.
