An Urban Auto Task Force investigation revealed that Lucas allegedly presented a false stolen vehicle claim to his automobile insurance company.
On Aug. 22, 2008, Lucas allegedly reported that his Jaguar had been stolen. Investigators discovered that he had sold the vehicle on Aug. 15, 2008 for $5,000. A few days later, Lucas requested his car back from the individual who purchased it. His request was denied. Lucas then allegedly reported the vehicle stolen and filed a claim with his insurance company. He ultimately confessed to investigators and apologized for filing the false report.
