New York Man Charged in Workers' Comp Scam

A Rochester, New York man has been charged with workers’ compensation fraud for reportedly submitting false documents stating that he was not working so he could collect $2,448 in workers’ comp benefits, the New York State Insurance Department reported.

Gilbert Yulfo, 52, who was actually employed while collecting the benefits, was arrested by state police after an investigation by the Insurance Department’s Frauds Bureau, the New York State Insurance Fund and the Inspector General’s Office of the Workers’ Compensation Board.
