Colorado Casualty Delivers Commercial Lines Program

Colorado Casualty, a Liberty Mutual Agency Markets regional company, announced that appointed agents in Colorado, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming are now equipped with Commercial IQ, the company’s web-based application for commercial lines quoting, binding, and policy issuance.

Commercial IQ delivers an automated underwriting process that combines expanded and simplified eligibility criteria with a sophisticated pricing system, which yields fewer referrals, the best price up-front, and quicker policy issuance. Agents can quote BOP, Commercial Auto, Property, and Umbrella, Farm, and General Liability, as well as new mono-line coverages for Inland Marine and Employment Practices Liability.

Agents can select the most appropriate product for a commercial risk using Commercial IQ’s SmartNavĂ”, the pre-qualification tool that requires only a business class code and response to a few basic eligibility questions. Commercial IQ also provides easy navigation, giving agents the ability to move freely among all data fields and screens associated with a policy, including hot links between new business and endorsement workflows.

“Giving our agents the most functional technology available is critical to being able to grow profitably,” said Keith Braxton, president and chief executive officer, Colorado Casualty. “With this new application and our new commercial product line, we are expanding our small business appetite, giving our agents a competitive edge, and more time to strengthen policyholder relationships.”

The arrival of Commercial IQ coincides with the introduction of The Commercial Protector Series, Colorado Casualty’s portfolio of commercial lines products for small to mid-sized businesses that provides coverage for more than 1,100 classes.

Offering more built-in coverages and expanded eligibility, CUSTOM PROTECTOR is available to small to mid-sized businesses with receipts up to $15 million per location. It offers optional market segment endorsements for the following 12 industries: condominiums; contractors; food processors; garages; hotels/motels; manufacturers, office/lessors; religious organizations; restaurants; retailers; service providers; and wholesalers. Split-rated property and liability coverages allow for price adjustments to match a customer’s specific exposure

BOP – COMMERCIAL PROTECTOR is a competitively-priced, package product that provides broad property and liability coverage in a single policy for small business accounts with receipts up to $8.5 million per location. Popular endorsements include Property Extension, Liability Extension, and Employment Practices Liability.

Colorado Casualty also offers the Comprehensive Business Package, a policy designed for more complex middle-market accounts. Core coverages include Commercial General Liability Extension and a Property Extension Endorsement, with optional coverages for Equipment Breakdown, Employment Practices Liability, Business Income on an Actual Loss Sustained, Property Extension Plus Endorsement, as well as a complete portfolio of ISO coverage endorsements.
