The search for a missing North Carolina Department of Insurance investigator came to a tragic conclusion Tuesday, when authorities found the body of 44-year-old Sallie Rohrbach of Angier near Fort Mill, S.C.
According to authorities, Rohrbach was killed by a Charlotte insurance agency owner, Michael Howell. Rohrbach was reportedly sent to Howell's office, Dilworth Insurance Agency, to audit him. The location of her body is reportedly about 25 miles from Howell's office.
Howell, who is in jail, is charged with first-degree murder.
Rohrbach was reportedly last seen in Charlotte last Wednesday afternoon. Her state-owned car was found on Sunday approximately seven blocks from the insurance agency.
