Allstate Reaching Out to Group of Texas Drivers

People drive 490 million miles on Texas roads every day. Up to a quarter of these drivers may have no insurance. Allstate is reaching out to this group of motorists with Allstate Blue, its seventh statewide product launch in 11 months.

This new product provides what Allstate describes as dependable, competitively priced automobile coverage for new drivers, people who haven't had car insurance before and for drivers who've experienced an accident or two.

"Drivers shouldn't have to sacrifice service and innovation because they've had some bad luck behind the wheel," said Allstate Texas Product Manager Jessica Friedman. "With Allstate Blue, drivers with no prior insurance or who've had a bit of bad luck, not only receive price-conscious coverage, they get the same impeccable service all of our customers receive regardless of their insurance history."

Allstate's 1,200 exclusive agents in Texas began offering Allstate Blue in July.

"Allstate Blue is about offering the right product at the right price," said Friedman.

Allstate says Blue provides many of the same coverages offered to its current customers; including:

Roadside Help

Whether you're out of gas, need a jump or a tow, Allstate Blue customers traveling in the United States can call a toll-free number for roadside assistance -- a service that may cost as little as $1 per month.

Loyalty Bonus

If Allstate Blue customers maintain their policy through the end of each policy period, they'll receive an 8 percent premium discount on all major coverages for their next policy renewal.

Multiple Policy Discounts

Allstate Blue customers, who also have property insurance with Allstate, may qualify for Allstate's Multiple Policy Discount to lower auto insurance premiums. Combined with the Loyalty Bonus, these customers have the potential to save as much as 13 percent on their premium upon renewal.
