Key West Preps for Tropical Storm Fay

Residents along Key West, Florida continue to prepare for Tropical Storm Fay, which forecasters say is headed for the Sunshine State. The storm has claimed dozens of lives in the Caribbean.

Fay, the sixth named storm for the 2008 Atlantic season, killed at least five people in Haiti.

Fay is expected to near hurricane strength, which starts at 74 mph, when it arrives in the Keys later Monday. The storm is expected to hit the Keys and then move onto the western coast of Florida, according to forecasters. A hurricane watch was in effect for most of the Keys and along Florida's west coast.

As of 8 a.m. EDT Monday, Fay's center was situated over western Cuba and about 100 miles south-southeast of Key West and was moving toward the north-northwest near 12 mph.
