While they can't bring their loved ones back, families of those massacred at Virginia Tech last spring are finding some comfort following a tentative deal reached on Thursday.
Reports say families of the victims have reached an $11 million deal with the state, a deal that is designed to prevent future lawsuits.
Gov. Timothy Kaine indicated that the majority of families of victims backed the settlement. Twenty-two families had previously filed notice with the state that indicated they might sue.
Seung-Hui Cho, a mentally disturbed student, killed 32 victims and wounded two dozen others at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007 before turning the gun on himself. He killed two people in a dorm room, then went on a rampage inside a science hall, where most of the victims died.
