FAIA Survey Ranks Old Dominion as Top P/C Carrier

A survey commissioned by the Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA), ranks The Main Street America Group's (www.msagroup.com) Old Dominion Insurance Company as the top property/casualty carrier in the Sunshine State.

Close to 600 independent agents participated in FAIA's annual survey and ranked Jacksonviille-based Old Dominion No. 1 among 63 peer companies that sell their products through independent insurance agents. This includes regional carriers Metropolitan, Florida Family and Citizens, and national carriers Safeco, Travelers and Zurich.

Old Dominion scored particularly high in three key 2008 survey categories: management approach, compensation and underwriting attitude.

Old Dominion Insurance Company, founded in 1982 and acquired by The Main Street America Group in 1996, provides commercial products to "Main Street" businesses throughout Florida, as well as personal and commercial products throughout Georgia. Florida is Main Street America's third largest state in terms of direct written premium.
