Family Sues Footwear Company for $2M

A family is suing Crocs Inc., claiming the footwear company played a part in their son losing the proper usage of a foot in an escalator accident at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

According to the lawsuit, the family states that the footwear company did not place safety features in the soft-soled shoes. The lawsuit reportedly seeks some $2 million in damages.

This is the second federal lawsuit filed over the summer summer involving a child wearing Crocs injured on escalators at the airport.

The boy was reportedly riding an escalator at the airport back in July when the machinery mangled his Crocs and "severely and permanently damaged" his right foot.

Odd lawsuit. I am sure the footwear company will end up paying out something. I just know that some people do not take responsibility for their own actions though. Escalators are not a toy.
