Authorities reported the rescue of seven people after flooding washed out a bridge in Tillamook County, Oregon Wednesday evening.
According to authorities, the Fawcett Creek Bridge on South Prairie Road washed out at around 9:15 p.m. The drivers of two vehicles unable to see the bridge drove into the rushing water and both were swept downstream by the current. Rescuers from the sheriff's office and the Coast Guard secured the drivers and passengers in the two vehicles.
Elsewhere, flooding closed a number of highways in Oregon and southwest Washington late Wednesday following heavy rains.
