Authorities reported that a man discovered dead at the bottom of an Anaheim ravine apparently took his own life.The body of Thomas Brown was discovered Tuesday afternoon off the 241 toll road, according to Anaheim police. Authorities said that Brown, who was wanted by the FBI for failing to appear for sentencing last week, apparently hanged himself.
Brown, who was slated to be sentenced in Florida but did not appear, pleaded guilty two years ago to charges of conspiracy and wire fraud in a scam that provided fraudulent insurance and workers' compensation to clients in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.
Brown and several conspirators reportedly defrauded clients of nearly $5 million.
