Women in Reinsurance Web Site Launched

The Chicago-based law firm Butler Rubin Saltarelli & Boyd LLP and its “Women in Reinsurance^TM” group have launched www.womeninreinsurance.com, a Web site focusing on information about and achievements of women in the reinsurance industry.

Launched in 2004 as an industry resource, Women in Reinsurance^TM (WIR^TM) began with a small group of women focused on bringing together women in the reinsurance industry to network, debate and learn from and with each other ways to enjoy the highest levels of professional success.

The Web site includes news, events, articles and resources about women in the reinsurance industry. It also profiles women leaders in the industry each quarter.

WIR^TM and the Web site are sponsored by Butler Rubin. Three partners at the firm – Randi Ellias, Catherine Isely and Teresa Snider – initially founded the group as a means to discuss how the reinsurance industry was evolving and how women could play a dynamic role in the future of the field. Two additional Butler Rubin partners – Julie Aldort and Amy Kelley – are now also involved in the initiative.
