With 2007 commercial retail, wholesale, reinsurance and personal lines brokerage revenues of $5.753 billion, Aon bested its next largest competitor, Marsh & McLennan Companies, by $351 million, underscoring that more companies trust Aon to ensure they are ready to meet the challenges and opportunities they face.
"These results show that Aon continues to be in growth mode," said Gregory Case, president and chief executive officer. "We will continue to make significant investments in our industry-leading capabilities so that we deliver to our clients unmatched broking with innovations and value-based advice."
Aon also was ranked as the world's number one broker by placement revenue by A.M. Best & Co., which published its broker rankings in the July 1, 2008, edition of Best's Review. Aon was ranked similarly by A.M. Best in 2007 and by Business Insurance in 2006.
