Keenan & Associates Purchases Walker & Associates

Keenan & Associates, a privately-held insurance brokerage and consulting firm in California, announced that they have acquired the employee benefits business from Walker & Associates, a Lafayette, Calif., firm providing insurance services and employee benefits to public agencies. Founded in 1999, Walker & Associates has built a strong presence among Northern California schools districts and municipalities.

Jana Walker will join Keenan as assistant vice president and will be based in Keenans Oakland office. Walkers clients include primarily public school districts and government agencies.

Public agencies, including schools, municipalities and community colleges, are Keenans core employee benefits business, said Henry Loubet, Keenans Oakland-based chief strategy officer. With the addition of Jana Walker, Keenan is able to strengthen its presence in the Bay Area, while enhancing our ability to deliver outstanding benefits brokerage resources to our clients. Jana Walker has an impeccable reputation for customer service; this, combined with Keenans established reputation and capabilities in the public sector, will improve the high quality of services and products we already provide our clients.
