Hurricane Dolly Moves Toward U.S.-Mexico Border

Dolly became the season's first hurricane to threaten the Gulf Coast area as she heads toward the U.S.-Mexico border.

Dolly's sights are reportedly set on the Rio Grande Valley, as officials fear that heavy rains and flooding could result in levee breaks.

Winds were reportedly sustained around 75 mph Tuesday afternoon as Dolly was upgraded from a tropical storm. Now a Category 1 storm, Dolly is forecasted to make landfall sometime Wednesday. As of 5 p.m. EST, Dolly's center was approximately 165 miles east-southeast of Brownsville.

A hurricane warning is current for the coast of Texas from Brownsville to Corpus Christi and in Mexico from Rio San Fernando heading north.

Tropical storm warnings were issued for areas adjacent to the hurricane zone.

I hope no hurricanes hit land but especially the citizens in MS and LA are spared this hurricane season
