Dolly Impact Closes 2 TDI Division Comp Offices

The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), Division of Workers’ Compensation has closed its Corpus Christi and Weslaco field offices until further notice due to severe weather caused by Hurricane Dolly. Additional field offices in the coastal area (Beaumont, Houston East, Houston West, Missouri City and Victoria) remain open but remain on alert for severe weather conditions.

Injured workers needing assistance in the affected areas may contact TDI by calling 1-800-252-7031. To check on the status of the field office closures, visit the TDI Web site at http://www.tdi.state.tx.us/wc/indexwc.html under “What’s New” or call the TDI Inclement Weather Phone Line at 512-804-4157.

Dolly left structural damage, flooding and power outages in her wake. Texas Gov. Rick Perry issued a disaster declaration for 14 counties in South Texas prior to Dolly's arrival.
