Flight Attendant Arrested for Setting In-Flight Fire

Authorities have charged a 19-year-old flight attendant from Minnesota with setting fire to a restroom on board a Compass Airlines Flight earlier this month.

Rojas allegedly set the fire in the bathroom because he was upset that he had to work that specific flight, which had a route of Minneapolis-St. Paul to Regina, Saskatchewan.

The plane belonging to Compass, which is a subsidiary of Northwest Airlines, landed safely in Fargo, North Dakota after smoke filled the back of the aircraft.

None of the 69 passengers aboard the 76-seat Embraer 175 place were injured.
