President Bush has reached out to the ruling leaders of Myanmar to assist in the recovery and cleanup efforts following a deadly weekend cyclone.Reports now say as many as 22,000 people are dead as a result of Cyclone Nargis.
Much of the country, also known as Burma, is without communications, electricity and transportation.
The U.S. Embassy in Myanmar issued a "disaster declaration" in the country and approved the release of $250,000 for cyclone relief assistance.
