Three awards were in recognition for IVANS Transformation Stationsm: the Outsourcer Award; the Real-Time Implementation and Active Agencies Award; and the Shared Service and Infrastructure Platform, Middleware Award. The fourth honor, the ACORD Innovative Implementation Award, credits the innovative technology behind IVANS Claims Download solution. The Company was honored at an awards ceremony today during the 2008 ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum (www.acordlomaforum.org/2008) held at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.
“I congratulate IVANS on winning four 2008 ACORD Awards and applaud them for their leadership. IVANS continues to illustrate how vital ACORD data standards are for our industry,” said John Kellington, senior vice president, ACORD. IVANS was selected from over 100 award submissions.
ACORD’s Accomplishment Awards recognize companies whose XML implementations demonstrate leadership in using ACORD standards (XML for Life, Annuity & Health, P&C/Surety, and Reinsurance/Large Commercial Standards) to conduct business. Two IVANS solutions, Transformation Station and Claims Download, were selected for these awards. IVANS Transformation Station is a real-time solution that eliminates the re-keying of data by enabling agents to submit requests for and receive data from their carrier partners, thus increasing efficiency and reducing cost.
IVANS Claims Download solution, which allows for claims to be automatically entered, updated and closed within the agency management system, saves agents hundreds of hours per year and enables them to provide faster service. More than 920,000 real-time transactions are processed quarterly using Transformation Station and 203 carriers use IVANS for download.
For more than 11 years, ACORD has been acknowledging organizations that embrace standards to improve data communications and workflow efficiency, save money and expand trading partner opportunities.
An expert in ACORD standards, IVANS established 12,000 new agency-carrier relationships in 2007, resulting in 135,000 agency-carrier pairings and nearly 3.3 million real-time transactions through Transformation Station. Today, the Company supports 34 agency vendor systems and continues to expand electronic transactions in both real-time and download, serving 600 insurance and healthcare organizations and over 30,000 independent agents across the United States.
