Deadly storms took a direct hit on Arkansas and several other states overnight and into early Friday morning, killing at least seven people.In Arkansas, seven deaths were reported, including that of a 15-year-old girl who died sleeping when a tree fell on her home.
All those lucky enough to survive did not escape totally unscathed, as 13 people were injured in Arkansas from the storms.
Storms and tornadoes also hit Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. Several Kansas City suburbs suffered damaged and there were reports of some injuries too.
